Carla attended the Night at the Museum Premiere in New York City on Saturday night, December the 17th. On the red carpet, Gugino, who plays a museum docent in the movie, identified which historical figures she'd like to meet if given an opportunity. "I want to meet all of them! I want to talk to Teddy Roosevelt. I want to talk to Sacagawea." Gugino described the Shoshone guide of the Lewis and Clark expedition as "the ultimate working mom." I have added pictures from the event as well a couple of Suddenly Last Summer promotional and Opening night pictures.

Carla Gugino, who co-stars with Ben Stiller in the upcoming family fantasy film Night at the Museum, told SCI FI Wire that she came to the project very late in the game and started the film almost immediately after completing her short-lived TV series, Threshold. She didn't even have time to read the Milan Trenc children's novel on which the movie is based. Gugino plays a docent, and Stiller is the new graveyard shift guard, at a New York natural history museum, where the exhibits come to life at night.

"I'd been working on Threshold," Gugino said in an interview, referring to the CBS SF drama in which she starred last year. "We finished our 13th episode, which was all that we did, on a Friday at 2 o'clock in the morning, and I sat down with [Museum director] Shawn Levy at 10 a.m. that morning. I had a work session with Ben that Monday and was doing the movie on Tuesday."

Gugino (Spy Kids) said that it ultimately worked to her advantage that she hadn't read the book. "I remember asking about the children's book initially, and it sort of seems that [the movie] had taken on its own life and that it might be better for me to have the experience with the script they had when I got there," she said. "I know that my character was in and out of different scripts. So it was better to work with what was there." Night at the Museum opens Dec. 20.(Source : Sci Fi Wire)

Carla Gugino, who plays a sexy vampire in the upcoming horror movie Rise, told SCI FI Wire that the long-gestating film is finally finished and should reach theaters soon. Gugino (Night at the Museum) completed the Ghost House Pictures production before starting work on her shortlived CBS SF series Threshold, which debuted last fall and was canceled after a short run; it's now available on DVD. "That one just has taken forever," Gugino said in an interview, referring to Rise. "I think now it's finally finished. I know that they've just finished all the scoring and all of that. It's been an incredibly long process. But I do think now it will be released in the near future. I don't know when, but it's now done-done, so that's good." Rise was written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez, who previously directed Gugino in Judas Kiss and Mermaid Chronicles Part I: She Creature and wrote an episode of Gugino's other shortlived ABC series Karen Sisco. Rise stars Lucy Liu as a reporter who's killed by vampires and is brought back to life and goes on a rampage against them. The film also stars Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four), James D'Arcy (An American Haunting) and Samaire Armstrong (Stay Alive). "Rise is a vampire film noir, and I play a vampire femme fatale named Eve," Gugino said. "So that part is very dark and sexual and interesting. And that movie is just really cool. Lucy Liu and Michael Chiklis are awesome in it." (Source : Sci Fi Wire)

To all the visitors - I am extremely sorry for not updating for over two months!! I have started my senior year of college and have been extremely busy with coursework. However, I have finally caught up with real life so I have a bit of time to finally update. Thanks to everyone who has emailed me, I have done my best to reply to most and I have added all those who have requested to become affiliates. I was also informed that some people were not able to access the gallery.. Please let me know if that is still an issue by replying in the comments and I will try to fix it.

Carla has been very busy these past two months, attending 4 events as well as rehearsing and performing in Suddenly Last Summer which opened on October 20 to rave reviews. I have added lots of HQ and Medium res pictures of the events to the gallery. More to come soon.
